Careless whisper in the air.

There are not many perfumes that have a Baudelaire-ian effect on me. It is a return to sunset on the beautiful coast of the Adriatic, the golden sun gently wrapping the skin while the smell of the figs lingers around. Figs are my olfactory fetish because they represent my divine food, and they remind me of a beautiful childhood. The Dandelion Fig is one of the most elegant and subtle scents based on figs that exist.

I feel it in the air tonight (Phil Collins), the song of the Dandelion Fig mood and the double-fold poplin shirt ready to be worn on a cocktail party. I like the subtlety and discretion of the perfume on the skin. It is unpretentious and elegant, like a recently cut estate at Balmoral. This is the first time that I experienced the interpretation of dandelion in a perfume. I never thought it could be possible. There is a creamy, buttery heart, soft and soft, pale and luminous.

Shay & Blue Dandelion Fig by BL’eauOG

General theme of this perfume is woody aura composed of bright, luminous woods with figs underneath, layered on gentle buttery-creamy bed. Those are blond woods, slightly dry and close to skin. They develop into soft creamy floral heart of greenery. Beautiful fresh greenery that makes you want to smell it every now and then.

Above all, I like that soft, fig scent, smelling like fig leaf. It just gives additional touch to the composition.

This goes straight to my spring and autumn favorites and definitely to top choices.

My name is Juraj Sotosek-Rihtarec and I am the only person that runs this BL’eauOG. BL’eauOG is the play of words meaning “blog” and “eau” which means “water” in French, allusion to “Eau de Parfum” for example, and you read it simply as “bloog”. I started my blog several years ago and I imagined it as a place where I can express my critics on the world of fine perfumes. You can find new perfume reviews, interviews, articles about the perfume and something very interesting – video campaigns I did for perfume brands and olfactive dinners which I regularly do (dinner inspired with perfumes). I studied two Masters, one in Croatia and second one in Paris, which enabled me to become the insider of the industry. Life in Paris changed my opinion about perfumes and consequently, my taste changed. I am most proud of being a TED lecturer. I hope you will enjoy this blog and my articles on perfumes.
