Old sport with new facets.

It’s always a pleasure to test novelties made by Francis Kurkdjian. Not only for me, he is an inspiration that lasts. I am very big fan of Baccarat Rouge line because it makes you feel luxurious, different, enveloped and protected with sweet, opulent floral note. No wonder that the perfume is worldwide success because for me, Baccarat Rouge is the embodiment of luxury – that is my vision how luxury smells like.

For every fumehead is a joy to test new stuff, especially when it comes to your top five perfumers. Skeleton is the same and from the first sniff, the one could tell it’s similar stuff. It’s like Paris, the inner circle remains the same, while suburbs change and develop. Inside is still the same rose, sweet, opulent, seductive red rose ready to give you sensual kiss. The cocktail of aromachemicals is also there, like in EdP. There are two differences; Extrait de Parfum has announced smooth green notes and milky touch to the composition.

Eau de Parfum is more refined, more elegant and well rounded than the Extrait version, which is to be expected because extracts are raw. EdP is Opéra Garnier while Extrait is Opéra Bastille.

Juraj, BL’eauOG

Written by juraj
My name is Juraj Sotosek-Rihtarec and I am the only person that runs this BL’eauOG. BL’eauOG is the play of words meaning “blog” and “eau” which means “water” in French, allusion to “Eau de Parfum” for example, and you read it simply as “bloog”. I started my blog several years ago and I imagined it as a place where I can express my critics on the world of fine perfumes. You can find new perfume reviews, interviews, articles about the perfume and something very interesting – video campaigns I did for perfume brands and olfactive dinners which I regularly do (dinner inspired with perfumes). I studied two Masters, one in Croatia and second one in Paris, which enabled me to become the insider of the industry. Life in Paris changed my opinion about perfumes and consequently, my taste changed. I am most proud of being a TED lecturer. I hope you will enjoy this blog and my articles on perfumes.
